What is this site?

Gearattack.com started it's life back in September 2006 as a site that monitored Steep and Cheap (www.steepandcheap.com) for new items, it was known as sacattack.com. When there was a new item, sacattack would alert people of the new item. It has grown into the site you see today, still providing alerts for new items, but also keeping track of item history, basic stats and more. Please have a look through the site, if it looks useful then use it. It is all free to use.

Can I buy the items I see listed?

Gearattack.com does not sell the products it lists. The items you see are just past items that were sold on other sites. That said, you may still be able to find a past item for sale at that site. Links to these items are provided with some the past items, some even qualify for discounts.

Speed is always good. Especially when you combine it with deals and getting the items you want. The fastest way to get gearattack.com alerts is using an IM client and an Attack IM account. Read the next paragraph for more details.

How do I use an IM client with gearattack.com?

Glad you asked. There are a couple steps to take. First you must signup with gearattack.com. Second, you must create an Attack IM username and password. Last, you have to download an IM client and configure it to receive IMs from gearattack.com.

Why does a past item still show a quanity?

Gealattack.com only updates the inventory listings at certain intervals. It is most likely that the item actually did sell out and changed to a new item before gearattack.com had a chance to update the new inventory totals.
